The North Beaches area is home to some of the fastest growth on the East coast.   Beautiful Beaches are complimented with large homes ranging anywhere from 2,000 square feet to 8,000 square feet.   Pine Island is the Community noted for some of the most upscale Homes on the Outer Banks.   These homes, in some cases, generate more than $100,000 per year in rental income!   Other communities include: Whalehead, Corolla Light, Buck Island, Monteray Shores, Currituck Club, Ocean Hill, and Ocean Sands.    Areas north of the paved road (where there are no paved roads!) include Carova, Penny's Hill, and Swan Beach ... all you need is a 4 wheel drive and a little time to enjoy driving the beach (watch out for the tree stumps!).   Notable Landmarks include ... the Corolla Lighthouse and the Whalehead Club - both listed National Historical Registry.   In season, you can climb the interior of the Lighthouse ... what an incredible ocean to sound view that is! Another growing area of the County is across the Wright Memorial Bridge ...
